So I just received my GCMS notes as I accidentally ordered two copies - luckily the second copy wasn't generated until after the first request.

the CIC screwed up my RCMP check, it got stuck on 'batch sent' and didn't realise for over 2 months (!!!) before resending it.

I would have had PR or my BOWP by now for sure.

GCMS notes reads: RCMP Screening was 'stuck' and "Batch Sent". Cancelled and re-submitted this day.

Original rcmp check sent 26/2, re-sent 26/4. This is infuriating! I've been penalised and made to wait longer for their mistake. :(

That is so annoying! but at least you know the delay had nothing to do with the application itself.
I hope you get PPR soon!

Do you think I should make some kind of complaint? My visa is running out soon and I've been waiting way longer than everyone else due to a problem they made themselves. I'm worried it will hurt my chances if I make a complaint.

Hi Guys,

I have sent 3 mails to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca in last 10 days asking about the status but there is no reply. Has anyone mailed and faced same issue?
I sent them email today and got replied in the after noon in which I they told me " your application is at our office and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization."
Maybe send them one more with your application number at the sudject line.
Wish everybody and myself good luck!

That will not do you any good. Remember, they are not under any obligation to grant you a PR status.

If anything you will just piss them off. I doubt that they could refuse your application based on a complaint, but it wouldn't add any benefits either. They are not gonna process it faster becauase you point out this mistake to them. Plus based on what I heard secuity check at the final stage is done by a third party, so immigration does not have the power to make them process it faster. Mistakes happen at all workplaces and it's not like they've made a mistake and accidentally refused your application. The normal processing time for CEC applications is 6 months, and unless you have waited over 6 months you have no ground to make any kind of complaints.

I know it's a sucky situation, but hang in there and wait. That's all you can do.

It's not my pr I'm complaining about. My r10 hasn't been done because I didn't pass criminality for so long, which means I can't get my bridging visa and my current visa ends soon. I know the security is out of CIC's control, but the r10 isn't.

Well I can tell you that CIC doesn't care about your situation at all if it hasn't been over the normal processing time. I guess if you really wanted to you could raise a case specific enquiry and explain your situation but be very careful in choosing your words. You don't want to piss them off, and it's not the immigration officer's fault that you can't get a bridging permit, it's just the policy.

Again, it's not an ideal situation. It sucks that a mistake like that didn't get dealt with for two months. But CIC does not owe it to you to grant your stay in Canada or to process it under 6 months. The delay, whether or not it was caused by a mistake, didn't result in the wait time being over the normal processing time and I bet that is the answer you're going to get from CIC, but you can defnitely submit some kind of communication if you chose to.

I agree with Kaykat27.

I understand your situation. I went through the similar ordeal for a month during my work permit application process(initially they rejected it on wrong grounds but later rectified it). As long as they have rectified their mistake at their end, you should be fine. Nothing can be done for the loss of two months of time and certainly complaining may not help either. The immigration process is kind of a black box. We all are guessing their working patterns through various information sources. But we may not get an entire picture ever.

All the best and wish you a speedy PPR.

I have update finally.. Our status has changed to "We are processing your application" which is IP2. Our timelines are in signature. Keeping fingers crossed.. Good luck to all of us.
Congrats!!! Hopefully you will receive PPR soon....:)

Since your wait is as long as mine (26th AOR Jan), I suggest you order GCM notes.

Also, I have a Saskatchewan nomination. Does it affect on your process basis on the province like I have observed that Ontario nomination guys move fast.. is it???
