1. I am assuming you are the principal applicant so you would definitely need to land before or at the same time as your dependents. However, your unborn child was never included as a dependent. Therefore, once born and you have his/her birth certificate, passport, etc. , you need to inform IRCC. Even if it is a newborn, they still need to be vetted by IRCC. You cannot just put them on a plane and have them enter Canada just because you and your wife have PR. Your child does not.

2. You could land after your child is born. It depends on what is the cut-off date to make your first landing (generally, one year from your medical exams). You won't know what that date is for certain until you receive your COPR.

3. That would be up to IRCC to decide. Naturally, I believe that is something they should allow since you cannot leave a newborn behind but it will be up to them to decide.

Also, an important note that your Proof of Funds will need to be updated to show that you have sufficient funds to cover the additional family member.

Disclaimer: The information above is based on my knowledge and understanding of IRCC procedures and policies. I would recommend reaching out to a competent immigration lawyer who would be able to better guide you.
This happened to a friend of mine who tried to land but left their newborn at home.
He was advised at the border to go back home and reapply to include their newborn. He was told he could land but that he should be ready to forget about the newborn as it will be very difficult to convince anyone that was his child.
Long story short, He went back and included his son in the new application and it took another six months before the application was approved!

Hi. So I finally received my GCMS notes. My BG has been IP since end March. However, my GCMS (10 May) states my Elgibility, Meds and Criminality as passed. Security is still blank on the summary.

Which stage do you guys reckon my file is at... and when should one normally be expecting a PPR when at such a stage? Keeping in ming my BG hasnt changed since end March! ?

Asking the question again in a different context

Wife's due in September and will be travelling to India for delivery

1) If we get coPR can i land here immediately before the baby is born? If so will it be a problem in bringing my wife and baby?
2) What if i land after the kid is born? (I mean i delay my landing 2 months even though i am still in Canada)
3) Can the landing be extended for my wife after the kid is born?

Please help !!!!

Hi Seniors. Please I need help. I recently got my GCMS report, and my eligibility is showing "Review Required" by the Case Analyst. My CRS point was re-calculated and it falls below the draw point. I worked for 2 years and 6 months, but mistakenly selected 3+ years instead of 2, since there was no in-between during my profile creation.

Now, I am afraid of the outcome. What do you advice? Can I create new profile while waiting for officer's final review and decision? I am confused.
Thank you
well i dont think there is much you can do in this case... that is misinterpretation and grounds for rejection unfortunately.

for now i would suggest to wait till you hear from them - and decide your next course of action
