Hi All,
It's good to see people are getting their PPR. I want to discuss an issue.
I created my profile in early 2016. I provided my Married status and also confirmed that I shall be landing alone. My dependents will join later. My Crs was calculated accordingly and I got ITA in November. (Crs calculator changed in Sept - Oct). Also while submitting my application I mentioned the same, coming alone and paid my fees. But still for the process, I submitted all details of my dependents as well their medicals and PCC.
I have my PR and planning to land in August.
Now while going through the CIC website I read procedure for sponsoring the spouse and dependents. They are asking to submit paper based application with all the supporting documents. And later I have link it on CIC account.
I am bit confused that when I have provided all details in my PR application and uploaded the same on CIC website, do I have to follow the same procedure.

I know I made you all read a lot.. But please advise.

As I have 2 passports( one expired one and the new one )

My Question to folks in the group : Do I need to send 2 passports or just the new one ?

Congratulations! As far as I am aware, you just need to send your current passport.

I also have the same query. I have two passports and My BG changed to "We are processing your background check, we will send you a message if we need more information" from "Not applicable". Even though I haven't received the golden Email, knowing what to do in case of 2 passports will be handy. ....
By the way my one passport is cancelled (as it was a hand written passport and it has all the travel details and stamps), next one is the new valid passport.

I can't really predict what will happen next in your application but I believe any movement is good news. Your PPR could very well be behind the corner or it could still take time. I would say be prepared but at the same time, don't stress too much if nothing materializes. Clearly, there is some work taking place on your case so that should in itself be reassuring.
