Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi guys,

I'm seriously beginning to think that CIC has forgotten (or lost) my application...

I haven't had anything change since my BG went NS of around 3/3.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to help remind them to look at my application? Or a number I can call from outside Canada to follow up on progress?

Thanks in advance

I don't understand this. Your application's crossed just 97 days. You do know that overall, CIC states that they try to process 80% of applications within a SIX month timeframe, right? And as you must have seen in the tracker, you are not alone, there are a lot of people in the exact situation as you.

It's psychological. You're in a situation that you are powerless to direct. For a majority of people, immigration provides an opportunity to better their lives and aim for bigger than the potential that is currently available for them. You are probably living in a society where for it's every man/woman for themselves. A society where, unless you have your fists at the ready, things can be taken from you and you need to prepare to fight for it. You are in control of your life because you need to be otherwise, you are left behind.

Now imagine having to give that control and future to someone you don't know sitting in some stuffy office on a swivel chair that has seen its days, sipping on their 5th cup of coffee as they stare into endless texts, viewing document after document, knowing very well that when they finish the submission they currently have in front of them, there are already 1000s waiting to be reviewed. Now add to that the fact you see other people around you getting the PPR and that's when you become your worst enemy. "Why haven't I received PPR yet? There has to be something wrong with my application. Did I choose the right NOC? Did I upload the original PCC along with translation?" You begin to question everything with no answer suitable to quench your lack of control. You are powerless to do anything at this point and that feeling eats at you.

This leaves you with two choices:
1. Release the anxiety and come to the conclusion that there are things beyond your control and when faced with such situations, let them be. Give them time to blossom and develop until you can regain control of your destiny.
2. Fret of the lack of control and understanding, and take it to heart. Share your pains with the rest of the world either through this virtual forum or manifest it in the real world.

Both options are OK. We are human with complex emotions. However, the consequences of both (for your mind, body and to those around you) are different. Choose the best path and never regret the option you choose.

When you have control over situations, grab it and see that it takes you to where you want. When you don't, just breath in and know that you cannot direct everything around you.

With that, I would like to share my salt lamp with you and I apologize for the zen-post.

Thank you, and please don't apologize. That is actually a really nice post. Know that I do understand this can become a psychological hell, and please also understand that my own answer to the person who made that comment was partly to put them at ease and partly to remind them or inform them in case they didn't know about the six-month timeframe. I myself am a Jan applicant and if you open the tracker right now

https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/january-2017-aor-permanent-residency-tracker

You will see there are many who haven't yet had PPRs. As you yourself are aware, each case can vary not just in circumstances but also by the visa office processing it. There are other factors as we know. My response was what it was because the OP said he/she thinks their application is ignored or lost. I found that to be a bit far fetched given:

1) It has just been a week over THREE months for the OP.
2) There are MANY of us in the same boat.

Now, if this was said of an application past six months, sure, I'd probably even say the same thing as I'd be freaking out. It wasn't so much the rest of the comment but the part that the application is lost or forgotten that I was addressing. I apologize too if the comment came across as insensitive but I was trying to alleviate this anxiety-filled waiting situation that all of us find ourselves in.

Absolutely. I never considered your post to be insensitive, I just quoted it as an elaboration and nothing more. We are definitely in the same boat and I am sure we will be calling Canada home very soon. Someone of the other users may have arrived at their destination before us, but we are surely on the way. We are just taking the 'scenic' route and getting to know our fellow applicants on the way. We are all still on schedule to arrive at our destination.

I feel you bro but only I could suggest is to pray... as you said so many things beyond our control..

pray for strength, health and knowledge/wisdom to all things you can do.. and leave to GOD whatever seems impossible for you to do..

enjoy what ever you have and wait for your turn.. in God time ,, its always perfect.

GOd bless us who are looking for a better future maybe not for ourselves BUT surely for our family..

I kind of like the new look but for some reason my password didn't work so I had to reset it.
Anyhow here's my concern - IP(2) May 5 PM, but no PPR yet. :(

I have the cic phone this afternoon, they simply told me that my file was treated in PAris and that therefore they didn't know where it was in...
the person told me that everything was in Paris, I'm quite surprised as I had asked a few weeks ago or was my file and the response was CPC Ottawa!
