Hey Congrats,

I am assuming that by IP 1 you mean - Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check and by IP 2 you mean - We are processing your background. Correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks

If I remember correctly mine was
Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check -> We are processing your background check -> Not Applicable-> We are processing your background check.

Yes Its either

NA-NS-NA-IP-PPR

or

NS-IP-NA-IP=PPR

or

NA-IP-NA-IP=PPR

NS = Next step is to....
NA = Not Applicable
IP = We are Processing....

Exceptions exist

I may be wrong but I do not remember the step as We are processing your background check. It went straight from Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check >> Not Applicable >> We are processing your background check.

Maybe this is the general trend for FSW O applicants?

Btw does anyone have any idea how long it usually takes on an average for successful FSW O applicants to get a PPR email after it goes to IP2?

Seems like everyone's BG change is different.
They also changed the wording in Jan/Feb so it proably has something to do with it too.

Trying not to get ahead of myself but I'm just curious. Why can't you send the same photos that you submitted along with your PR application for PR card application?
It just sounds like everyone's getting new pics taken for PPR.

That picture was 35x45....for PPR and PR card they need 50x70 mm which they will paste on COPR

I don't want to upset you, but we have WhatsApp group chat for USA applicants. Everyone from USA FSW stream before us (start of Jan 2017) received PPR in maximum 3 months after AOR the same day bg came to IP or even before.
The new trend started with us (start of Jan 2017). I got IP2 last Thursday and no update since. No one knows how long will it take, they changed the process and we are the first. Definitely we already wait much more than applicants before us.

Haha don't worry. There's nothing to be upset about. It just seems to be a procedural delay. The number of AORs has doubled in January so a delay should be expected. And since CIC has explicitly mentioned 6 months as the average time for 80% of the applications, I don't see any reason to panic. Our applications are definitely progressing as per the 6 month timeline, so I have no issues no waiting. Stay positive!
