I am CEC PNP Inland and AOR on 20th January 2017.

Following is my status:

Medical: Passes 24 March, 2017
Background: We are processing your background. Same day as medical passed. And it's been like this since March 24th.
Additional Doc Request: RCMP 18th April
Submitted RCMP : 25th April

File Currently at Ottawa.

For PNP files, CIC needs clearance and confirmation from PNP offices, that probably reason PNP files gets delayed

Well when I called them they said the background check is in progress and eligibility check is not started yet.

Only 15 days remaining in completing 4 months since AOR. So, I am a bit worried. :( :(

Maybe you are right, but when CIC can process CEC applications within 90-100 days, why cant they process PNPs within 130-140 days?

I am very happy to see CECs getting their PPRs so quickly but at the same time a little disappointed to see PNPs from Nov. 2016 waiting for their PPRs.
Guess, everything's not fair in life lol :P

It also doesn't make sense that they required a confirmation from the Province. They are the one who added 600 points. We didn't claim the 600 points. It was automatically added.

Hi There,

How did you notice the change? DO you keep loging in to the MyCIC account or you got a message that your status has changed in MYCIC?

I login to my CIC account everyday to keep track of any changes.

You are right. I think processing the applications based on people in Canada and outside Canada makes more sense than differntiating between applicants already in Canada.

Oh that's been quite some time. Have you checked your spam folder for any emails? A lot of people have reported their PPR emails went to the spam/promotions folder. Hopefully you'll get some great news soon. Good luck.

Also, if it is yahoo mail, they are not receiving PPR in any folders. I saw in forum, one of the applicant called CIC just to check the status and he was shocked when he was told by agent that CIC is waiting for the information from applicant. Later he requested to resend the email, tried twice and still he dint received it. So later CIC sent a message in his My CIC account, and when he saw the message it was a PPR message.

So we have to be careful.

ok guys so called them, got a reply that my background check is going on and they donot need any additional documents at this time.
Processing time is 6 months

I check all my email folders regularly.
And I'm using gmail. So probably nothing was lost. There is another USA FSW in the same situation, his nickname is losangeleno.
