You're in the slowest stream. Better prepare for the long wait. They are somewhere in the middle of Nov for PNPs as I know.

BG, Security, Criminality still in progress it seems :( Dint yet started the eligibility :(
Hey man,

I am in the same boat and my AOR is also Jan 27th. The last activity on my account was that they asked for Schedule A on Apr 3rd and I uploaded it on Apr 4th. After that my BG changed from not started to in progress.

How did you get the info of what stage your file is in ? I spoke to a CIC agent myself today and he won't tell me anything about the status of my application. He just kept saying he can't do anything and i should call after 6 months.

CIC Status will only changed to Approved after issuing COPR (Confirmation Of Permanent Residence). Until then it will be in Process.

These are 3 different stages that majority of the PR applicants will see against Background check in my CIC.

IP1
--------
IP1 will be shown when we pass the medical. Some people get this update on the same day along with their medical and some of them couple of days after. CIC agents will do R10, criminality checks during this stage. Once they feel everything is good then they will change it to NA. These things will happen at CIO Office (Centralized Intake Office)

NA
---------
This stage, our file will be transferred to CPC (Case processing Center) where agents will do eligibility assessments. If they feel everything is okay, then they will provide their recommendation to Visa Officer and same time they will initiate Security Checks.

IP2
--------
This status will be seen in my CIC account once Visa Officer starts reviewing or after reviewing all agents recommendations. On the same day PPR request will be triggered if the applicant paid RPRF upfront. These things will be done at CPC office.

It is not necessary that every applicant will undergo this process. But majority of the cases, I have noticed the same status.

Hope it helps :)

It doesn't mean that they skip certain steps explained in the process. Irrespective of the stream every applicant should undergo the following validations.
- Medicals
-Criminality
-Eligibility
-Security
Status updates purely depends on the CIC agents who updates the status. Some might update them regularly and some might update them only once. Or else, outlander applicants status updates happen only once in their application life time. It all depends. We should not worry about whether updates happen or not. As long as not hearing anything then we are on the safest side.

At what stage do they match NOC with job duties? My file was in Ottawa at IP(1). The process is confusing. I am CEC, eAOR Jan 28
