Thanks, I'll reapply today. I've noticed that the points required are significantly lower as well.

What happened is that i applied with four years work experience under cec, of which one was professional experience whilst completing my final year of university with a pgwp.

I got declined this morning due to the fact that experience gained under pgwp is ineligible, irrespective of what work was done. I wasn't aware of this, hence the rejection

All in all, a huge inconvenience, waste of money and a tremendous waste of time, but what to do :(

That seems bizarre to me because you don't lose any points for this, as the calculator simply gives CRS for '3 years or more' you don't gain any points for that fourth year. Could you try and challenge it?

The issue is that is was just under four years total and once you remove the pgwp experience you get down to three days under two years and eleven months... small margins hey

Don't loose any hope.

The experience during PGWP is eligible. The experience while you were studying (even if you have off campus work permit) is ineligible.

Although the system shouldn't consider it as Work Exp because there is a filter in Questionnaire where it ask for student status. Try to remember if you have selected "No" instead of "Yes". That might be the reason.

PGWP and off campus WP are two different things.

Sorry, that's what I meant, my mind is all over the place today. I was on a special graduate job that led to full time work, In any case, I'll reapply today, all my documents are valid except the medical, which I'll take next week.

Thanks for the advice mate, much appreciated

Apologizes to hear this news. Don't. Give up and try your best by reapplying it. Would you mind to give some more details (if possible)?

If you want to re-enter to pool, I think you have to re-create a new profile and regarding the refund, please refer the below CIC site.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/fees/refunds/rprf.asp

All the best.

Just to clarify, do I create a new gckey or just a new ee profile? Do I need to do anything to my current declined one?

ALSO, I'll meet the points required for the current pool, that'll qualify me immediately, right?

Yeah, thanks. End of the day, it was my fault, should've been more aware. WILL I be accepted under the current pool should I apply today? I meet the current point requirement

Sorry to hear your rejection.

But I believe working experience gained under PGWP is not invalid, as long as you are not doing acdamic study in the meantime. Most of CEC applicants here are holding PGWP after they grandfather from university/college and claim for working experience point after they graduation.

Best luck with your re-application.

Just recreate your profile just like you have done earlier and you will be entered in the Pool for the next draw.

Activate Job bank Registration with new profile number also.

No need to recreate GC Key. Don't forget to mention about this decline reference in new profile.

Unfortunately no, as you have to be in the pool at the time for draw. So you will be eligible for the next draw.

I think he means this coming draw. yes you will, as long as your job bank is registered and you're in the pool.
