And I did conduct another medical exam for my own personal assessment and the result came out fine.

I would say there is nothing to worry about. CEC medical exams take a while to clear up and your AOR is pretty recent.
Once meds pass CEC applicants are processed very fast, so just hang in there and try to be patient :)

Agreed!! Although to reinforce vensak's point, I just saw that in the December thread a user is reporting contact from his LVO requesting for eye colors, height and passport bio page without his status changing to IP.

I know... the pattern is: there is no set pattern!

The fact is, the officer may forget to change your status.. Since they work in pairs maybe he was expecting the other guys to do it ;)

But she is right, sometimes it takes a long time to go to IP and then it goes and PPR comes a few days later... There have been cases of PPR without it ever changing to IP (although these are quite rare). And sometimes it goes to IP quickly and stays there for 3 months.

Although I feel like something has changed over at IRCC... The usual process was that you'd have to wait around 2-4 months after it changed to IP... However, we've seen TOO many examples that this is no longer the case to be classified as 'exceptions' or 'lucky few' so I think they must have made some fundamental changes to the way the process is done I think, may be automated a lot of the security checks maybe changes to be able to support the big increase in ITA's.. In any case, if that's the case then it's very good for us!

Thanks very much for the info... Was just wondering if it was normal for the medical to change from NN--> Review in Progress

Hi everyone
I am CEC inland:

AOR January 16 2017
Document request: February 19 (Celpip results) (Uploaded February 23)
Meds passed: February 25
Background In Progress: February 25

How many AOR January people have received PPR already? and are they all CEC inland?
I actually am trying to see if they are "exceptions" for some reason or CIC is really processing AOR January people fast.

So far we have 5 people from Jan that have received PPR. Of those 5 people who received PPR, 3 were CEC and 1 FSW-O and 1 PNP-O:

By the way, if you haven't entered your details already on the tracker, please do so here https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/january-2017-aor-permanent-residency-tracker :)
It seems like you may get your PPR very soon!

Depends on several things... Are you CEC? Have you been asked to do more medical exams? Usually this status indicates that your medicals are not yet ready and that is normally the case when you've been asked for more medical exams.

@nmuntz: Thanks for the reply.

You are guessing I may receive PPR soon because my Med is passed and BG In Progress? I am guessing many January AOR people got their Med passed and Bg IP, isn't that right?

Yes, the difference is that you are CEC. Once CEC applicants BG changes to IP you can expect PPR soon. This does not apply for other streams. IP can take months (or years :()

Actually, she logged into her mycic account later on and her background check has changed to in process.
Mostly ackground check in process for the first time for most Outland applicants means, ppr is around the corner.
But again, it is true that it works differently sometimes.

Situation for FSW-Inland-ers is pretty bad. None of us have even our medicals passed! :'(

Do not worry. You guys receive ppr before us that got medicals passed way early.
