I see most of the people here had their BG status changed from Not Started to In Progress the same day...anyone like me? I am being very impatient. I admit that.

Because you are CEC applicant. It takes longer for "medical passed" for CEC applicants. Once it is done, then all other things are done quickly for CEC applicants.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. I'm in the same boat, CEC inland with AOR Jan 6th.

December guys are truly lucky. fastest processing I have seen so far.

seems like CIC has some sort of work load re-arrangement or something to pick up the speed, thus they could issue this many invitations for the recent rounds.
dec guys and even the nov ones are lucky that they seemed to be the first beneficials of this speed pick-up and while there weren't too many applications.

People from US are like inland went it comes to getting their initial status changed and meds passed... Takes a while!

Hi Guys, I recieved the AOR on jan 9th and nothing is updated on my profile. Is this situation normal ? As alot of people in this thread who have submitted their file after 9th have recieved one or two updates.

Even I'm also in the same boat. My medical status changed on February 20, 2017 and BG status also changed from NN - NS and stuck there until now. I have received AOR on January 17, 2017 and my category is CEC Inland.

It seems to me the speed with which CIC started combing through January CEC applicants last Friday has died down a bit... #sad
