Guys got two questions:

1. I've received my PPR (actually from my lawyer who did my work visa) but my CIC account details still hasn't changed. Still saying background check in progress (IP2). Anyone is also in this scenario. Normal?
2. I read that once you do your landing your visa gets cancel and it takes 45 days to get the PR card. Only way to go out is either to come in via the border crossing from US by land or if by an airline you would need a PR temporary travel document that costs $50 and you get it from your home country. Thing is I live and work in Canada now and need to travel for work etc. Any ideas?

Thanks guys

This was SOOOOO helpful.
I was reading this, then I went to check my email promotion folder or just search all inbox and found my passport request! exactly the same May 5th it was received to my promo folder. (but I found it just now)

CRAZY! Thank you.

if you receive a PPR, can you share whats the subject line of the email.
so we can keep an eye on it

It's a passport request for stamp a visa (probably what you call PPR) with a subject line: "Ready for Visa / Prêt pour Visa", but also easily searchable by "cic".

My status IP1, never changed after medical.

A simple request guys, while asking questions, please also include your stream and AOR date. It helps in replying to your queries.

I got stuck at NA after IP1 for almost one month. I think as someone mentioned earlier here, nationality plays an important role. I'm Iranian and your ID is an Iranian name, so if you're from Iran too, then you will just need to be more patient

I am not from Iran ;) I called cic last week and they told me that my eligibility is passed so the last step is security...Unless they check my extensive travel history, i have no idea what it could be.

Did you call CIC? or ordered gscm notes?

Yes I called CIC this morning they said there is no problem with your profile everything is in order and we are waiting to send PPR email...also said there is a delay as there are thousands of applicants in front of you and no expected date of PPR

Hi buddy. When you do the landing, do they cancel both your work visa and the new PR visa? This would mean that you will not be able to travel out of the country until you get your PR card? Tx
