Number of ITAs has risen significantly, with this extra load a slow down was to be expected.

If you look at medicals you can see a clear pattern where in Nov 2016 people usually passed within 1-5 days, then in Jan that went up to 10-20 days... Now in Mar/Apr they're taking longer than 1 month...

If you think you have it bad... think of the poor souls in April! March is the biggest group yet, meaning there was probably a record number of AORs in March, when they'll start to see movement is anyone's guess :(

Nah bro I don't think I have it bad. I'm the optimistic one.
Whatever happens, happens for a good reason. I have prepared myself to wait until end of the year/worst case scenario.

That's always good! I myself would love to get PPR soon, but I've got a very slow LVO so I'm looking at the 6 month mark myself... If I get it before then fantastic... :D

Good luck man.

May this PPR rains pours down this week for all of us. ;D

what does Local VO (Ottawa) does after we move onto IP2?? CIO should have done all the check " R* " before handing over to Local VO .

Is this right assumption??

That's not entirely accurate. The time it takes for your medicals to pass depends on your stream. For outland candidates, it depends on your LVO (can be 2 days - 2 months). For CEC - Inland, it has been around 1 month (for most people) pretty consistently. For FSW\PNP - Inlnads, it has been about 2 months. I'm 100% sure the extra vol. of applications will not affect processing times significantly. If anything, processing times have gone down..

Most people with AORs in Feb (and some in March) have already had their medical passed. 2 people from March already have PPRs. :P.

I believe most (if not all) of it was cleared around November last year. This is the reason for the increase in EE ITAs. If you look at the total number of economic migrants in the immigration targe for 2017, it's not significantly different from 2016. What has changed is that the backlog is gone.

yup exactly where I was heading with that question. so in EE has cut down on immigration a whole lot. Only that not all are getting in as used to happen before 2015(CEC)

So after your file is transferred there are three ways to find out:
1) Get GCMS notes (this is the most reliable way but takes a while)
2) Raise a CSE (they should reply that your file is now being processed at XXX - the problem is raising a CSE just to find this out a a little OTT and shame on you)
3) Email or call them (this is the quickest way but the most unreliable as people end up getting conflicting information like "Your file has been transferred to CIO" and thing their LVO is the CIO)

Please house, I have a question.

When i eventually get this PR, I will like to travel first to canada before relocating with my family.
is it possible to collect their residency card when I travel the first time?

Everyone must LAND in Canada... your family may the travel back home and you can stay in Canada waiting for the PR cards and the travel back when you have it. If only the PA lands then only the PAs PR card will be issued.
