Hello everyone,

I got a message from CIC that they need RCMP from me.

Stream: CEC Inland
Dependents included: My wife
AOR: Feb 1, 2017
RCMP Requested: April 7, 2017.

Can someone please help me out in determining,
1. Do i need to get RCMP for both me and my wife?
2. Where in Winnipeg, MB can i get it done?

Thanks

Just curious... Why didn't you do RCMP upfront??

To answer your questions :-
1. Reading old posts on canadavisa.ca and google.ca I believe you need RCMP for both
2. Go to this website and look for address -> https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/offices

Hey,

As per IRCC's website, there is no requirement to do RCMP check upfront. That is why i didn't submit it. It has only been the recent trend that they have started asking for RCMP checks to process cases faster.

Thanks for providing the website address. Much appreciated.

Hey Pankaj,

Fair enough response and you're welcome.
To be honest when I uploaded my documents there was a attachment tab specific to PCC certificates, so I thought it would have asked you as well since you are same date as me (Feb 1, 2017).

Anyhow, I believe if you just get it done now you will be golden.... Cheers!

Happy Weekend!

One of my friend got rejected in Feb 2017 (He Applied in Nov 2016) due to the exact same reason, he applied under CEC category from Alberta in Express Entry System. I guess Indian PCC is a NO-go for now! Only get it from Consulate in Canada if you are living in Canada

You can thank me later ;)

Hi,

I got my Indian PCC from BLS canada.
So should it be good ???

Kindly advise

Yes, you are absolutely correct. In hindsight, it would have been much better if i had got RCMP done upfront.
Hope for the best.
Good luck to you man.

Did cic mention anywhere on website that applicant MUST get PCC from consulate if residing in canada? it doesn't make sense they rejected his file due to this reason.
