Yes, it is a definitely a positive sign.
your BGS changed from NN - NS - NN and should change to IP soon. Then PPR is not long. All the best !!! You must be CEC.

Everyone keeps saying "in progress" - do you mean processing not progress?

Also hearing a lot of "not started. next step is to conduct your bg check" etc.

What are the stages??

How long bc will take typically?? 4-5 weeks? Pnp-outland.. India

My representative applied on my behalf. I dont know about status of my application. My representative said she will let me know if they will ask any additional document or PPR request.
Now my Question is-
Does Representative have the access to check the status of my application?
Is she call tell if my medical is pass??
if not then how can i get the updates about my application? and how can i check my visa office??

1. YES! Your rep has full access to check the status of your application.
2. YES! They can check your medical status just by signing in.
3. You need to apply for either GCMS Notes or you can send them an email (Not 100% sure about this procedure)

"We are processing your background check" is the same as IP(In Progress), they just updated their phrasing last month.
The stage is usually NS->IP1->NA->IP2(In Progress again,there is no difference in phrasing), then PPR.

If we applied through a consultant, but we have access for our cic account, do they send our passport at our consultant's address or we can write our own address on envelop?
