My theory -

If upfront RCMP check is done, then the status "background check is in progress" is bypassed

We straight away go to next phase of background check and hence the status - "Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check"

It turned to NS (old status) on March 2 before going back to NN on March 8. Based on the notes criminality was passed on the 8th.

My BG has been NA since March 8. Received my GCMS notes today and Security and Eligibility were not started as at March 10.

My due date is April 6, so will order another set of notes maybe a week after this.

Based on this one can probably assume that you remain in NA status until Security is started/completed.

Do check do Eligibility check along with Security ? i thought eligibility check is already done in your case .. hmmm

FSWO - AORfeb12 .. No single update in CIC. Any one here with same date ?

I am guessing there could be 2 possibilities:-
- they have not touched my file yet
- file is under processing but status is not updated in CIC

file is being processed in CIO Sydney, which I think is slower than other intake offices.

CIC is really unpredictable. Anything can happen at any time.

I am in the same boat. My AOR is 3rd March and thats the only difference. As you applied much earlier than me you may apply for your GCMS notes.

They haven't touched your file (most likely). May be they will update your status quickly once they pick up your file. I think for FSWO (majority applicants) meds passed update is after 45 days, so yours will be published soon.

Seems like IRCC processes applications in batches - some people with close AOR dates also share similar timeline.

Does anyone who has AOR FEB01 or passed medical MAR01, seen movement in BGC?
I have been IP(1) since March 1 and patiently(not) awaiting N/A or IP(2).

I have exactly the same time line and background in progress since march 1.
