I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. Although I feel your pain, many of us have waited just as long and sometimes even longer, regardless of stream. I for one am an OINP nominee, my process began in 2015. I believe each application demands different processing times, for various reasons. I'm tired of reading comments such as "oh, another feb PPR, not fair", and the person is actually a jan 31st applicant... What about those who have been waiting since june 2016? Should we all freeze our processes then, untill those guys have their PR? It doesn't work like that. In fact, none of us really knows how it all works. We should just try to be there for one another, as this waiting game has been hard enough on all of us, instead of competing for who should get it faster. I'm sorry if I used your post for venting, it's nothing personal.Calgary2014 said:It's not within 1-2 months and most the time it takes longer
CEC is the fastest one because when we got visa for the same time, IRCC checked our BC and verified all our documents. I believe CEC should take less than a week because someone like me has applied for study permit and work permit and also renewed them 5 times. every time I waited about two months to renew my study and work permits. so I have already waited 10 months

all the best ... stay connected
Its not necessary to send an email . It's optional just tells where ur application is currently . CIO ( centralized intake office ) first part of the application then it goes case processing centre (CPC ) in ottawakaur989 said:Please explain is it necessary to send an email and know about your processing office?
I don't know about this anything.
so we get to know that is the application in 1st phase or 2nd?Harrys1988 said:Its not necessary to send an email . It's optional just tells where ur application is currently . CIO ( centralized intake office ) first part of the application then it goes case processing centre (CPC ) in ottawa
Kind of yeskaur989 said:so we get to know that is the application in 1st phase or 2nd?
The pattern is different for different streams, maybe. In our case (FSWO mid Feb and March) the applications start with CPC Sydney and then CIO Sydney. I am not sure if they are different but that the reply I got. In any sense of the word CEC is much faster. Good Luck CEC folks !Harrys1988 said:Kind of yes
There are so many inconsistencies with CIC working on applications . Every different application have different pattern .
Would recommend sending email around time when ur background check in progress
