there are two offices where CEC applications typically go. First they processed in Sydney Nova Scotia for preliminary checks and then come to Ottawa for finalization.
By knowing that where is your file, can give you an idea at which stage your file might be.

Its not necessary but usually applicants ask cic.

Good to know, is it something I should call CIC(30-45mins wait) for and ask them, because sometimes I feel they just forgot to update status. For most people the BGS changes when Medicals passed(not for me apparently).

Also, how long it takes from sydney->ottawa->PPR usually?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Email CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca them
providing your file number, name, date of birth.

they will reply you most probably next day.

Don't worry, you are not the only one stuck with this status after medical. I am assuming you have provided RCMP upfront?

Yes, I provided both RCMP and India Police Clearance Upfront.

Also, what do I need to ask in the email to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca above? Like "Status Update" or "VISA Office Information" etc.

Thanks man! You have been a great help!

Simply ask about visa office where your file is being processed now.

Hey,
My Bg went to "in progress" on march 1, 2017 and I haven't seen any change in my status since then. I read that the bg usually changes from IP > NN and back to IP. But I haven't seen any such changes since March 1. Do I need to be worried?

CEC inland
AOR feb 1st
Meds passed march 1
Bg in progress March 1

Anyone with similar timeline and in the same situation?

Nope you don't need to worry. Majority people are stuck after medical. Its normal trend now a days. wait till you pass 60 days benchmark.

Gosh! That's a bummer! But thanks for the heads up. It's aggrevating checking your account everyday and not seeing any progress.
