I doubt your application cab be canceled for being incomplete after a long wait. completeness check is usually done at the early stage (although not all cases).
It can be refused but very unlikely due to completeness. If you check the tracker for those rejected for incompleteness, it's usually a very short timeline.

Guys,

I see one rejection in feb tracker CEC stream. reason mentioned in the tracker is "Missing document"..... SERIOUSLY??? they took 4 months to find out that there is a document missing?????o_O

I was physically in Canada when I submitted my application, but since my previous working permit has expired by the time I sent my application, I had both my home country and a Canadian address on file. Currently I am living in Canada with a valid visitor's visa. I had called CIC 1-888-242-2100 for multiple times during the process of my application, and they confirmed that my primary address in my profile is my Canadian address. But the Passport Request letter still asked me to send my passport to my home country visa office. In this case, may I and how could I request to send my passport to Ottawa office instead?

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update.
I emailed CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca on June 9 to explain the reason of why I need to send my passport to Ottawa instead of my home country. Today (June 13) they sent me a new Passport Request letter to myCIC account so that I can send my passport to Ottawa now.

Hopefully this information can help those who in the same situation as me.

Same here. Moved to London and still at NA. Maybe you should write them.

Several days ago, my profile showed "We need additional documents to process your application. Please see the below messages for details" But there was no new message. I know it's a technical glitch and many of us have had the same experience. But in most of the others' cases, this problem has been resolved unlike mine. I'm getting little worried now. I've already sent them a mail about this but no reply yet.

Any though on this?
