what is GCMS and RCMP is it cec?
The Global Case Management System (GCMS) is Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) single, integrated and worldwide system used internally to process applications for citizenship and immigration services. you can order the GCMS notes online if you are in Canada to check your application status and officers notes.

If you have lived in Canada for more than 6 months since the age of 18, a background check may be conducted with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). The RCMP may request fingerprints in order to confirm your identity.

Do everyone get RCMP request because I just give them only PCC.
It depends on the case.
It is not a requirement to submit RCMP upfront. However, if you do submit it upfront, then it will certainly help in processing the file faster if they need it.

I believe they can request RCMP if you have changed your address quite a bit or if they want to double check criminality.

AOR 27th Feb, Med Passed on 23rd March and IP1 on 23rd March.
My BGS just changed to NA without any additional document request from CIC. I am CEC Inland. Does anyone know if I'd be getting direct PPR now? Whats the next step? Any info will be highly appreciated. Thanks
In general once your BG will change from NA - > IP2 then you can expect PPR.

In my case BG changed to IP2 on May 15 but still no update. I am also CEC inland and AOR is 28th Feb

My Status changed to N/A on Tuesday May 16 and then IP2 Thursday May 18. I think it depends on individual cases.

Yes it is very subjective because it specifically said that if you are already in Canada you dont need to submit it but some cases like mine, they asked for it. So if you really want to be extra sure just send it in

Most people get a change from NA to IP2 before PPR although there are cases where it goes right from NA to PPR. Hard to really say for sure. Good luck
