My AOR is of February 3 and my medical passed, IP(1) in progress since March 3rd. I am CEC inland.
In April, I left Canada for 3 weeks, went back home where I got married. Now I have 2 questions.
1. Should I inform CIC that I left Canada for three weeks or not? Are they able to find out by themselves? If they do, will they consider it misrepresentation?
2. Should I inform CIC now that I got married or wait until after I get my PR? My wife does not have a passport yet, so it will take at least two more months before we can arrange all documents required to apply for her PR application.

It's very likely. The agent at cic I spoke to last week told me that my case needs to be reviewed. I don't exactly have a reference letter for one of my employment records as my ex-employer behaved like an as****e. I did upload all the possible supporting docs I could think of but there is no certainty of how things will play out. All I do now is pray.Calgary2014 said:I think this is because our cases are more complicated than others. My application for CSQ was rejected 3 years ago, so I thin they're investigation to find the reason. Yours is probably something else
I just remembered that one of my former employers refused to include my job duties in the reference letter and I had to ask my former manager (who doesn't work there anymore to write a letter and attach it to that reference letter). Now I have three complicated things: employment letter, CSQ and the agent who reviewed my degree didn't recognize the university I was graduated from (I was graduated from a designated university in Quebec that has a DLI number). I expect to wait three more monthsPianoMan said:It's very likely. The agent at cic I spoke to last week told me that my case needs to be reviewed. You're being too pessimistic. Those types of checks don't take long. Factors that might significantly delay your application includeCalgary2014 said:I just remembered that one of my former employers refused to include my job duties in the reference letter and I had to ask my former manager (who doesn't work there anymore to write a letter and attach it to that reference letter). The only reason I am worried is because I've seen cic reject/refuse applications for such silly things, for the tiniest of errors and that's what keeps me on edge. But anyway, I wish you the very best and hope we all get some good news soon.Calgary2014 said:I just remembered that one of my former employers refused to include my job duties in the reference letter and I had to ask my former manager (who doesn't work there anymore to write a letter and attach it to that reference letter). Don't be a pessimistic, the usually trend of background check in most cases is IP1 -> NA -> IP2 -> PPR. All is well ;Dashu1710 said:Guys, my IP just went to NA from IP1.
Timeline:
Aor: 24th Feb
Meds Passed\BG IP1: 2nd May
BG: NA. 4th May
Does this mean rejection? If so, I don't mind as I have more than enough CRS to apply again. It's better to be rejected sooner rather than later.
Thanks for giving hope, I haven't left Canada for four years, so that shouldn't be a problemashu1710 said:You're being too pessimistic. Those types of checks don't take long. Factors that might significantly delay your application include
1) Prior military and\or government service
2) Frequent travel to "certain" countries.
3) Unexplained trips in your travel history
4) Membership in or association with dodgy organizations.
Thanks, wish you all the best as well, hope to hear good news next weekPianoMan said:The only reason I am worried is because I've seen cic reject/refuse applications for such silly things, for the tiniest of errors and that's what keeps me on edge.
