Hi all

I am having couple of question:

1. Which is first? Background check or Review of Medical result?

2. if some one is undergoing medical furtherance, do CIC conduct back ground checks on the applicants file during those 2 months while applicant awaits for his medical reports?

Thanks in advance

1. Review of medical is done early and is usually the first thing to pass.
2. No one knows exactly how CIC works internally so we can't answer that. From everything I have seen, submitting a complete application is by far the fastest. Get your medical done ASAP if you care about your application getting processed quickly.

My AOR is 10-Feb,2016. I underwent furtherance and passed my meds on May 06, 2016. so far i was requested to update sch 4 & sch A which is see is quite common practice from CIC. I am wondering how much time it may take for ppr from now on.

Hello All,
I received mail just now from CIC to post passport to them.
Details
- BC - PNP
- AOR on 23rd Feb
- Inland applicant

Question
I am in a bit of a pickle here. My wife (dependent applicant) is travelling and be back in to Canada on 26th May (so, it means I can apply only on 27th May + a couple of days for delivery). My work visa expires on July 31st.
- How long does it take for them to process and return passport?
- Do you guys think I need to apply for extension since visa expires on July 31st?

NDVO please wake up

Congratulations to all who got PPR.
As you can see in my signature, I've been waiting more than 3 weeks since my BG changed to "in progress".
My question is, what it could mean. Does it mean that my eligibility is met? if so, CIC is now working on my security?
Thank you in advance ;)

Good question, some people seem to get PPR the next day after BGC in progress. Mine went to in progress on the 14th May so I was hoping to get PPR this week, nothing yet.

Keep us posted.

My BG changed to "In Progress" on 07th May, I don't know how much time will CIC take to complete it but the waiting is very painful.

3.5 months has been the average for CEC inland PNP applications (starting from AOR). It depends a lot on application type.
