Reposting my earlier post from some other thread for the benefit of newcomers to Canada:

It takes perseverance and hard work to get a good job in Canada. Don't give up. Network, network and network. Meet people and seek their guidance. Be humble. In Canada, it doesn't matter what you know, but who you know is really important.

It's from mine and lot of my friends' personal experience. Doesn't matter if you are an engineer from overseas, plus MBA from Canada with 5 years of overseas experience. Everyone has to work hard to get their first Job. Nothing is for granted.

If I know that my file has been transferred to LVO yet if I call to cic, is there any chance to know the progress of the file? Or I will b asked to contact LVO.

I guess you have to call LVO not CIC
