ecas is so inconsistent... lol! i just checked but i still only have 3 lines. i hope they fix it soon i heard there were updates for sept 2-3 for those with july aor... hoping aug aor's get updates soon!

I heard few people are also getting second AOR. Anyone from august group got such AOR???

Earlier , after preliminary eligibility check and confirmation files used to transfer to respective Visa offices in different country's .

The 2nd AOR was from the visa office.

I am not sure whether we will get a 2nd AOR as files are processed in CPC Ottawa

Any different view ? Anyone?

Some people who got 2nd AOR are typically who would need it to apply for BOWP during this time. But yes you are correct that 2nd AOR typically your local VO. I have seen that happen for some cases but what's the logic behind sending files to local VO before PPR requests under EE is still a mystery.

Does anyone know how much time does it it take to get background check in progress.

Following is my time line:
App submitted Aug 3rd
AOR Aug 4th
Med pass 13th Aug
Ecas access (3 line) 13th aug - in process

I am inland applicant, fsw

Express entry canada

Dear all

I am totally new to this forum requesting your advice and guidance

I approached an immigration consultant and had an initial assessment they have charged me 1200 INR for the initial assessment and have given the score of 74 for skilled worker and for express entry beta 376 points.

Now to start the profile creation and all, the consultancy is asking me to pay 2 lakh INR as service fee in 3 installment. I am afraid to create my own profile as I don't want to get reject due to some small mistake from my side while creating online profile but kindly suggest is 2 lakh is a good deal because I will end up paying 2lakh +Canadian fees+other miscellaneous IELTS,police verification etc..

Hey blacking.

Honestly as per patterns there is very little hope with 376 points. U will waste ur money. But it's no harm to create profile and wait( u might get a PNP) . Because they never went below 450 till now. So I would suggest don't give any money right now. Creat profile ur self. That very easy and this forum will be very helpful. Once u get ITA u can take their help to be double sure about ur application
But still decision is totally urs.

After PPR you can ask CIC to send your Passports to your local VO by e-mail.

it is not the answer for his question!! what he is trying to know if the local visa office has any contribution or relation to the application process and decision making or it is all about CIC in Canada itself .. i'm also wondering and not sure coz local visa offices used to have share on applications processing as far as i know coz it was submitted to them but what is the situation in EE where all applications goes to CIC directly ?!!!

How come some people r getting ppr in 45 days or so and some r waiting since 4 to 5 months...

It all depends on their visa officer and how much work load they are processing. I have seen that visa offices outside Canada have processed the applications faster compared to in Canada.

I received second AOR on the 20th of August and didn't need to apply for BOWP as I am an outland applicant. I guess it was sent the moment, my application was transferred from Ottawa to my local visa office
