Bad news people, just got a rejection letter from CIC for not having enough funds!

I had clearly uploaded a summary of my fixed deposits which amount to about 25,000 CAD alone, besides which my saving account shows funds of 13,000 CAD.

Can anyone advise me on what can I do next?

I remember Asivad had the same issue, if you could reply, that would be great!

that's really sad. have you ever ordered gcms notes? if yes,what does it say about funds?

what does the letter exactly state? can you please paste the content here?

have you attached attested copy of 6 months bank statement?

open a cse..and attached the fund letters ..or call cic and enquire

Sorry to hear about that. The FD amount is in your name or is it a joint account? Also, how much funding you were required to show?

Requirement for 2 people is 15,143 CAD

All the Fd's are in my name, sole owner

It looks very strange then why they rejected your application. Can you please paste the exact text from CiC rejection mail as they might have done some mistake in calculation.

Really sorry. You will need to raise a CSE on this with all the supporting documents again. Really sorry.

My application closed and approved today on my CIC.

This is very exciting and now I wait for my passport to arrive! Hopefully next week I can go to the boarder and complete my landing process!

I'm a Aug9th AOR FSW inland, received an email on Jan 8th saying they are processing my application and need me to verify my email address ( guessed I put down a invalid one .. Typo)... So still waiting now..please add me to the list thanks!

Sorry to hear about this iceman87. It's weird that they have given insufficient funds as reason when you have much more funds available. Wish you good luck with CSE/CIC call. Do keep us posted pls. Did you order GCMS notes?

My application is also closed and approved, thank you guys for everything))) Edit my timeline in the spreadsheet, I don't have access to it.

This is interesting. I received the PPR email and sent my passports but application still showing "back ground in progress".
Is it normal?
