another week gone by ......still at NA and file still at CIO sydney

Good morning,

Congratulations on your approval, PPR will come very soon!
Did you submit RCMP recently?
I submitted mine on July 17, yesterday I logged in and noticed in front of my Permanent Resident application it said "Updated", where before uploading RCMP it said "Your action is required", then today it says "Submitted" again.
Thank you,
I submitted RCMP upfront. Also if this happens most likely it is some officer peeping into your application once before final approval or for the final approval itself. It's a bug in their system that generates random messages once an officer checks ur application.

Some one yesterday on this forum said it takes 5-8 days these days for the mail to come given the number of applications et al . This happened with me and my application went to IP2 skipping IP1 and NA stages of back ground check. So wait for it you will get as well.

Fellas,

My BG check says In Progress and I just received my 2nd PDF of GCMS where the notes dated June 8, 2017 states R10 OK MI2 A11.2 - Appears Met R87.1: CEC Minimum Requirements - Appears Met Ready to Finalize RPRF: Complete.

Can someone please tell me if this all sounds right? And any idea why is it taking so long at BG check (in progress since May 18).
Bro it's RFV enjoy take it easy and enjoy if you haven't got PPR you will get it soon

My man! What's "RFV"? :(
And thanks for calming me down. :) When I wasn't getting ITA, I was sad. Now things seem to be going fine, but without PPR I'm panicking. Gotta get day drunk!

I sent an email on 17-July and got a reply in less than an hour ago.

I just got a reply in little over 24 hours.

Thank you for taking the time to reply and Congratulations on your PR!!!

Do you know what exactly do they check in Security? And what is the next step after the Security has cleared?
Hey Thanks!! After security you should get the PPR email as far as I know!

Hi everyone - this has been my journey so far - hope It helps someone to assess how far along they are:

Start Date
End Date Days Taken
21-Jan-17 09-Feb-17 19 Medicals Passed
09-Feb-17 01-Mar-17 20 BG changed to Not Needed/Not Applicable
01-Mar-17 22-Jun-17 113 BG changed to IP2
22-Jun-17 07-Jul-17 15 IP2 to PPR

You will notice that the period from NA to IP2 is certainly the longest - I'm PNP Outland by the way;)

Good news is file is at Ottawa. If your AOR is in April and you are in IP2 stage, then PPR next week for sure.
If file is in NA stage then this e-mail means they are still checking your background, must be the last step like security or something, should be IP2 soon then. There will be some good news next week as per my opinion. Good Luck:)

CEC Inland
AOR April 15
Med Passed May 14

Background has been NA ever since.
Interestingly I was told by an agent this morning that everything has been passed. What remains is security check. Can someone tell me how long security check normally takes?

Thanks,
M
