AOR - Email in lieu of Letter

Hello all,

I received my AOR from CIO-Sydney by email on 5/27. I am not sure whether Sydney will still send me the original AOR by post and I would like to send my full application immediately.

Would anyone know if it would be acceptable to just attach emailed AOR (includes all the following information: file number, instructions to send full application to Buffalo visa office, receipt number for payment of $550 fee, initial of immigration officer who issued AOR). I do not want to wait longer as I have complete supporting documents ready for filing with my full application. Besides, I am not sure whether Sydney will still send me the physical letter by post.

Congrats. I think you should send everything and it deesnt make sense to wait. Just attach a letter and explain.

I was thinking about the same thing - just send emailed AOR as I think the original AOR will have the same exact contents as the email.

Does the e-mail have the fee receipt? I think it needs to be included with the full set too. Or don't forget to mention that in your explanation.

Check your application status online with your file number and there they would have mentioned about the mail. They send it by regular post on the same day they sent you the email.

The file number and receipt number are included in the email. I forgot to mention that I received an envelope from Sydney (which they sent out on same day as emailed AOR) containing an unused prepaid UPS envelope with waybill which I sent them with my application. They did not use it and returned it to me with cover letter saying that they were returning my original documents sent with my application. I did not send any original, just this UPS pack for their reply, when I applied. I guess they just used a generic format letter to send me back the UPS pack.

I imagine that if they were going to send me a physical AOR it would have come with the returning of originals mail. Anyway, I will write a short explanation in my cover letter with full applications.
