AOR by email, Sponsorship Approval by Physical Mail

Hi Guys,

I have a quick and probably a dumb question. After I submitted my PR application, I received the AOR1 by email from CIC, however the sponsorship approval to my surprise came via Canada Post and I did not receive any email.

My understanding was that if you have specified an email address in the application, CIC is supposed to use the email address for any future communications regarding the applications.

Anybody else had similar experience? Should I do anything about it say contact CIC and verify my communication preferences?

It seems to be random. Some email, some send letters. And its different for different stages.

I wouldnt worry. Seems to be moving along fine.

its an email basically saying we received your application on this date and started processing it on this date. thats it really.

any contact from CIC is ok. Im sure even if you called them to update your correspondence preference to email, theyd still probably send a letter. They're weirdly inconsistent like that.
