Not all applications are automatically linked so it would seem. Depends on the stream you have applied for EE is auto linked.
Hi, I am in a similar position to you. AOR was received on 17th August and Biometrics were completed. I have not heard anything since. Whar stream are you applying under? I am hoping to get the IME completed sooner rather than later. I have not been able to link my PR application to my CIC account with GCKey yet. have you?
New update: Got Biometrics taken Sep 30, account linked same day, no email.

I received bil and mep on 22nd September and got bio done on 27th. In-between I remember my app status was action required all along. How did you notice there was a GU? I am afraid that I just missed it somehow or didn't get it.
Btw, what is your bgc status now, processing or ip?

Contrary to this post suggests, I DID get an email for both MEP+BIL and GU. For the MEP+BIL update, the email says "A message about your application is waiting for you.". For the GU, the email says "Your application status has changes.". But as a GU, I saw no changes after logging in. Hope this helps.
