Hi all,

I received my COPR today, in an email on myCIC. I have not however recieved anything back from my local visa office where I sent my photos. Am I to wait for thatreturn package before travelling??

Not a thing. Lawyer was very reassuring, saying that there is nothing unusual and case is straightforward. Just IRCC taking their sweet merry time. It's not too bad for me as I am inland already with 3.5 years left on permit... just got to wait. Just find it odd the way application processing times are hit and miss, with little logic.

I am bit worried since its been six months and havent yet received a passport request . My AOR is 18th May 2016.

Is this normal.

you've only just hit the 6 month mark. there are people waiting for 9 months and more since their AOR. it's perfectly normal.

that's life, people leave after they have gotten their ppr, we still waiting we have no choice but to wait it out... you just pray yurs come sooner, its all about life seasons, summer winter, fall and autumn

Yah no updates with april aoers since 2 wks ago. We just post quotes and jokes so this tread will not be buried. ;D

From the optimistic side, I noticed (especially from other threads) that quite number of applicants have received their PPRs during the eighth and ninth months of processing.

I guess the final review takes time these days. I am still waiting for GCMS notes but it would be a great idea for everyone to find out the dates when the application was sent to the final review... My assumption it takes 2-3 months for the final check. I might be wrong but I still don't lose hope that everything will be as we expect it to be.
