It was just an email saying U have a new message in your Cic account and then one additional mail came after few hours saying your Cic profile has been updated...when I logged into my Cic my BG status changed to in progress and I had this PDF attachment as a message requesting me to submit my PP with VFS.

I am worried that according to my notes they still have my former representative's email as a contact (I asked for a change but they didn't reply yet).

The search function is pretty terrible in my experience. I've tried several times to find things out by searching the forums but finding anything is extremely difficult. Unfortunately, this means that if the answer to your question isn't on the last few pages of a thread, you're not going to find it without asking again. It's not exactly reasonable to expect a newcomer to read 100 pages of random discussion to find one piece of information.

BG in progess isn't a good marker to wait for. Start getting impatient if you have heard nothing by Oct 7th. Expect for it to take the full 6 months.

Yes I learnt it the had way. Going by the trend, I thought PPR is on my way the next day after BG status was updated

AOR 22nd April,PNP outland NDVO applicant.Just received an email a while ago and it is all about "Your application has been updated.".
While logged in to my account it says Background check "in progress". Perhaps PPR is round the corner in the coming week. . Fastening seatbelt as going through quite anxious moments for last couple of months.

RyanGiggs011 and Rakeshpatade have come forward to maintain the April 2016 AOR spread sheet. I have been overwhelmed with work and hence was not able to keep up with the forum updates.

I have added RyanGiggs011 and Rakeshpatade on the spreadsheet as they will be updating going forward.

Now I understand the pain of some people who talk about their employers taking advantage of their situation as I am stuck in one now.

Hope we all get PPR soon ;D

Hi Lazybone,

I am forced to go MIA with the workload pushed on me by my employer. I have to dance to employers tune. I had heard of employers taking advantage of workers during PR processing, but now I know and understanding as I am experiencing personally. Anyways, soon I will get my freedom.
