No updates for me:

ITA April 6th
AOR April 16th
Medicals Passed April 29
BG in Progress April 29

I did however apply for a BOWP on April 30 and it was approved yesterday so that means that at least my application for Permanent Residence was acknowledged as complete.

Same here, I applied the BOWP on April 20 and got the approval last week. Such a relief ... my visa was up in 2 days.

CIC added my dependent and requested IMM5406 and a payment reciept on May 27th -- uploaded on the same day. I made a request on May 17th...

Just incase i choose to order GCMS by paying $5, is it enough if my friends(PR) address and number are available, I will choose the mode of GCMS as email.....

is it ok if I give my own mail id registered with IRCC, I hope it wont be a problem if I wont give his email and give my email id.

correct me if steps are wrong:

1. fill in friends details, choose general member of public,

2. choose Express entry, case files in type of records, specic info is electronic notes,

doubt is with file number and client id.

What all files I need to attach apart from consent form.

Some info on ordering GCMS notes - hope this helps!

1. Find a friend who is currently in canada. keep his phone number, complete postal address with you.
2. Create a letter addressed to the Citizenship and immigration canada stating that you are authorizing your friend XYZ to obtain information under the privacy act on your behalf. state in the letter your friends complete postal address along with his phone number.
3. In case you have any dependents in your application, you might to create multiple letters.
4. take a print out of the letter, sign it and then scan it into a pdf and keep it handy.
5. Open the GCMS website. and apply posing as your friend, give address details, his resident status in canada etc. if you have ny doubt..better ask your friend before hand.
6. there will be an option, whether you are obtaining this info on your own behalf or your friend.. "SELECT someones elses behalf."
7. make sure in the friends email id details.. you enter your own email id. dont need to enter your friends email id, because you will directly get the notes on your email id that way.
8. follow the next steps which would require, entering your aplication number, UCI etc..
9. in the end you will be required to upload the authorization letters.. this is when u upload the scanned letters from step 4.

I got a Request from CIC to submit by Background check document once again, with the latest details and emphasizing on Question 6

can someone tell me, why they have requested once again, while we gave the background information during the initial submit.

is this because i have mentioned some wrong info, o r they want a latest info.

Perfect sir, thank you so much my doubts were clarified in point 7.....and point 5.........can i do it myself posing as my frend was a doubt, can i enter my own mailid (registered with ircc) was second doubt, if frend applies he would use his mail but me posing as my frend can i use my own mail was doubt.....it greatly helpes.....+1.
