well, i ordered mine like 2 weeks after AOR just because one of the forum guys here did the same and it seemed like a good idea for him.Preet_S said:ohh ok Thank you.
When do you think right time to order GCMS notes any idea for April candidate?
Now if I look back, I think it makes more sense that it depends on which category you are. If you are FSW outland which usually have their applications moves faster than CEC/FSW/PNP inland, you can try order it after 2-3 weeks or a month from AOR. If you are CEC/PNP inland, I would suggest wait at least till the 6th week of your application or when you back ground status changed from not start/in progress back to not needed at this time assume it doesn't get stuck forever. Otherwise you won't be able to find many information that is truly helpful to understand the progress and status of your application if you order it too soon.Preet_S said:ohh ok Thank you.

Have you received yours?tatianatiana said:well, i ordered mine like 2 weeks after AOR just because one of the forum guys here did the same and it seemed like a good idea for him.
Each minor to minor activity in ur application gets recorded in GCMS notes and you can order one to see progress in your application.Stngr said:Stupid question: what is/are GCMS notes?
If you have friend/relative in Canada you can have there details and order GCMS. Alternatively there are 3rd party organizations in Canada who offer there service to order GCMS on your behalf, off-course with extra charge.Stngr said:sounds cool, but I can't get it, since I'm not a Citizen, resident and I'm not in Canada
Haven't received mine yet, no lolsmallcoffee2milk said:Have you received yours?
There's really not much useful information or notes showing up on mine. I'd order it again when my application is 6 - 8 weeks old.
also, what's the reason for your first app being rejected?smallcoffee2milk said:Have you received yours?

It's because my foreign PCC did not cover up to the last day of my stay in that country, I was fooled by the agent who handled my PCC request and did not even realize the problem since I moved to Canada on 2008 but had lots of short term travels afterwords (like 2 - 3 weeks each). Anyhow learned from it and got the correct one 2nd time.tatianatiana said:also, what's the reason for your first app being rejected?
I am sorry about that. Did you say you only went back for visits and not live there? My spouse had a similar issue, I almost wanted to ignore my instincts and just use the old PCC, but we applied for a new FBI report and included that we have applied for a new one but still attached the old one, since we were not sure if it was still valid. Yesterday, I got a request for an updated FBI. I think CIC should change the PCC rules to the last you visited the country and not last time lived. To live in is different from visiting. Thanks for sharing, best wishes!smallcoffee2milk said:It's because my foreign PCC did not cover up to the last day of my stay in that country, I was fooled by the agent who handled my PCC request and did not even realize the problem since I moved to Canada on 2008 but had lots of short term travels afterwords (like 2 - 3 weeks each).
