Anyone know how long it takes to get BOWP .
I am PNP inland applicant waiting for my PPR and my work permit is expiring last week on June 2017. I haven't applied BOWP yet.

I sent an email to CPC-Ottawa 2 days ago requesting the status of my application and below is what I received in response, I have seen some applicants are able to confirm that their application is being processed at Sydney, NS or Ottawa office how do we actually find this out?

Dear xyz,

Our records confirm that your application (E01234567) is at CIO and is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

Please consult our Website for information regarding our processing times:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp

For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.

Dear friends,
As of today I am in my 7th month!
The entire 6 months are over!
I cannot believe I could not get PPR within 6 months!
It's not my best day guys! :-[ ???

Sorry about that Matt. Maybe it's time for you to call in to check your status. From your signature I can see you passed all the eligibility check. Your PPR may come out soon.

It doesn't matter how long it takes. Assuming you are eligible to apply for BOWP, once you submit your application, you are on implied status and can continue working until your application (BOWP) is finalized. If I remembered correctly, you can apply for BOWP at least 4 months before your current WP is expiring.

I have a feeling that the second BG IP is coming in a month, and a month after that comes PR :D

thanks. so in that case and considering super fast processing strategy of CIC on PNP inland candidates I should go for it like right now :)
