It will keep telling you they are busy and can't take your call. Keep trying. You can memorize the number sequence required to get to an agent and enter it each time you call without needing to wait for instructions.
Thanks

For those who has passed 6-month mark and want to do something about it, here is an idea.

First, go to the link below to find your member of parliament:

http://www.lop.parl.gc.ca/ParlInfo/Compilations/HouseOfCommons/MemberByPostalCode.aspx?Menu=HOC

Second, write a short letter describing your situation. If not sure how to write a letter, google 'how to write a letter to your member of parliament canada'.

What you can talk about:
------------------------

Dear Mr/Mrs MP NAME,

I have lived in Canada past XXX years. I have been contributing to Canadian economy since XXXX as skilled worker on a work permit. Recently, upon my application, my province nominated me to become a permanent resident through Express Entry. As this stream promises priority processing of applications, It has been my understanding that CIC would allocate adequate number of personnel to ensure reasonable processing times.

However, through several channels of information, I observed that other streams of Express Entry, such as CEC and FSW, have been consistently processed twice as fast as PNP stream. While I don't think CIC is deliberately delaying PNP applications, I wanted to bring a possible work distribution issue to your attention.

Best Regards,
XYZ

Should we start a petition?

Just asking because I don't want to make a fuss over the current situation but it is really agitating to see people submitting their application after us having their PR in like 2 or 3 months but we have have to wait for 2 months for our first update.

If petition has to be filed, it should be done by those who have crossed 6 months of processing time.

I agree!
Enough is enough!
Inland CEC stream gets it maximum in 2 months guys, 2 freaking months!!!
And we are waiting 5,5 - 6 months. This is 3 times more processing time. This is a joke!
We should really do something against it, damn!
I am with you if you initiate this petition!

Hi,

I am in for petition. Atleast we can request fair processing time via petition. We don't mind CEC being processed in 2 months, but it's really being unfair that PNP'S medical is passed in more than 2 months. Cheers

After I submitted my application (Nov 30th) I expected every month that we (PNP-I) will get few PPRs this month, as all the other streams were receiving. But NO!! months passed by and I saw not even a single PPR for PNP-Inlanders. I gradually realized that its just us, who have been "backlogged". Only thing I don't understand is WHY?
WHY is that others are getting PPR is 1.5 or 2 months with same timeline as ours whereas we are being asked to refer to the "processing time." Still many PNP-inland processing time crossed 6 months already. When we have already cleared 1 extra step compared to other streams. Why is that others are receiving PPR in no time and no efforts on clearing backlogs for PNP-Inland is being made?
As time is passing by I am noticing its getting worst for us than any better. Last PNP-Inland who reported PPR was more than weeks ago from applicant AOR Oct 21. Why is it so slow for us?

I already waited 11 months to get my ONIP nomination, 2 months for my medical to pass, don't want to experience unusual wait time to get my PPR as well.
It feels like forever now that I have been struggling in my life to maintain my status in Canada, to sustain my job; just because I am too special and my application is being "handled with care."

This is me hoping and praying that April be the month for us and all of PNP-Inland applicants get their PPR soon.

PS - I am now exhausted being patient.

Hey everyone,

I'm glad to see you are contacting your MPs. Just make sure not to copy/paste the template I provided directly. It is a rough template and probably there are grammar issues. It would be best if you personalize it and proof read it before sending. :)
