Even i feel the same. I deliberately postponed my extension of closed WP as i didn't want to be stuck with my current employer. But there seems to be no PPR in sight so instead of applying for a bowp i opted for the closed WP from my employer. It got approved in like 2.5 months. May be they get this small extra sums of money from bowp and WP :p i remember my university board which fails some people so they pay for the re-evaluation as well as supplementary exams. But they all eventually get through in re-evaluation phase and the re-exam fee is useless and not refundable
Hey guys,
According to your experience, when someone is supposed to apply for work permit extension? three months before the expiry date? is it done be the employer or the employee needs to do him/her self? please advise

I was going through CIC, and found following. Not sure if it's helpful, but worth going through the link.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...-after-january-1-2016-completeness-check.html

The Express Entry six-month processing standard begins when an application is assessed as complete and is promoted in the Global Case Management System (GCMS). It ends when Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) makes a final decision on the application.

So I believe if we have any ADR, it starts after that date.....

Just called CIC. Agent said my file is under review, then asked for more details, they are as follows:

Eligibility - in-progress
Criminality - passed - this was quick due to I never lived outside of canada for more than 6 months after age of 18
Med passed May 29
Security - Not started 2 weeks ago now changed to in-progress

AOR: April 17.

It seems ur case processes very quickly. Hope it will keep at this speed! It is interesting to see both eligibility and security are working at the same time in ur case. I used to think they would go complete like one by one, since for me just eligibility is in progress but security always doesn’t start as I called on June 7 and 20.

Just saw someone CEC inland aor April 30, got ppr on another thread. Wondering if it was processed at another office cause seems like Edmonton is the slowest.

I have somewhat the same profile as you.
Never lived abroad rather than my home country and our time frame between AOR and MEP are sorta the same.

My eligibility is recommend pass and my criminality was passed within one week after MEP, super fast.

My security hasn't started though.

I called them on June 11th, waiting to complete a month to call again.

Just spoke to an agent.
Apparently my eligibility is under review and it hasn't been picked up by an officer at Edmonton. Review and Edmonton seems like an awesome combination which would hold my file forever.
I just have work ex from India and Canada for the same parent company. There is nothing more there :(criminality in progress and security not started. I guess they didn't even touch my file after medicals. :( I feel like crying seriously.. 197 days and counting... If pr applications are not priority for Edmonton, they should be transferred somewhere else.. the agent said they cannot even leave a note until someone picks the file up. Looks like i am in for a long wait.

gyus i got my very first ghost update .... i just hope its not a glitch.... hope its good news fingers crossed:)

I don't believe its a glitch my friend.

Here is a brief historic of past 2 weeks:
I had a ghost update on EE profile 2 weeks ago (eligibility has passed)
I sent a new Webform on Monday to "complain" about the delay
On Tuesday I had a ghost update on my BOWP profile
Yesterday the BOWP was approved
Today I woke up ALSO with a ghost update on my EE profile again, just as you. It could be either the final good news or a real update, which is also good, as long as the case is moving forward. Fingers crossed!!

Hopefully, you both get good news soon

BTW, anyone knows the difference between "Edmonton CPC" and Edmonton IRCC"?

CPC is not open to public - Case processing place
IRCC - open to public I believe, where you can get information, documents, etc
