Yes I'm PR in Canada.Today is Saturday office is closed I'll be calling them on Monday.I just have to inform about situation and then request to make process faster rite?

Well, they might not feel like making the process faster just because your wife is pregnant but you can ask politely that if they are close to issuing her visa anyway, could they do it early enough that she can still travel before baby comes or otherwise delay her visa until after the baby in which case you will have to add the baby to the application.

Keep in mind that if you live in a province with a 3 month waiting time for health care (BC, Ontario or NB), you will have to pay for the cost of delivery of the baby if the baby is born in Canada before your wife gets health care.

Anyone with a pregnant spouse during the PR waiting period ?

I am curious. Does anyone have experience with a pregnant spouse during the Permanent Residence waiting period?

When we submitted our paperwork, we were unsure if we were pregnant at the time. The doctor at the medical exam asked this question, and we gave the same answer (back in December)

Now we are certain that we are pregnant, :) and very happy about this :) , but the question is ...

Should we inform the visa office of this fact ?

I know this question has been asked before, but I would like to hear from someone in the same situation. Did you inform the visa office ?

If so do you think it helped your case or did it make it more complicated ?

Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to respond.

P.S we are not due until early September, but the clock is ticking ...

First of all congrats on ur upcoming little one!
Regardless of it makes ur case easier or complicated! You MUST inform the visa office come what may, cuz this is their policy, now if they found out before they heard from you, ur gonna be in serious hot waters! I would suggest u HAVE to inform then, and do it now for your own good!

hi Group,

As others in the group I am also in a situation.

We are applying for FSWP2014 and will be submitted our application by July end to CIC.
My wife is 4 months carrying and the expected date is in Dec.

How to go on from here, do I declare now while processing our application, or wait for application to be submitted and accepted by them and then update them of the expected baby??? guys please help me with it

we are highly confused ::) ::)

Okay so I am only 2 and a half months pregnant and living outside of Canada with my husband who is the applicant. We are about to send in the applications and I am planning to head back to Canada before I am unable to board a plane which will separate me from my husband. I was wondering if they will speed the process in any way because I want my husband to be there for the birth of our first baby. What can I do to make sure that that happens?

No, they will not speed up your application because you are pregnant.

We submitted application beginning of July and I just had baby end of July. There is a place on the applications that requires you to state if either PA or sponsor are pregnant which we did... once I received the birth certificate I sent in required info to update app... I am the sponsor and I gave birth in Canada. I know the app update process is a bit different if baby is born out of country but either way you will need to update application

Hi to all....any advice here please.....just sent in my spousal sponsorship app. Im PR in Canada and sponsoring my wife outland. She happens to be a few months pregnant. Is it possible to apply for a visit visa so she gives birth here even with her sponsorship app in process? Any chances?

Thanks for answering

Hi

She can apply but with a Canadian spouse and a sponsorship app in process, her chances of approval are very low.

Note that if she does manage to get a TRV, depending on your province, she likely will not have provincial health coverage and you will be required to pay all medical costs out of pocket.

Hi everyone!
I’m married to a Canadian and we are in the process of permanent resident. We just figured out I’m pregnant.
We are living in Quebec and I already have the WP and the certificate de selection du Quebec.
Can I get the Quebec insurance RAMQ? How should I proceed?
