Just to let u know, if u are taking the bachelors in applied science in Petroleum engineering in SAIT and if u plan to work in Canada as a Petroleum engineer, u may not be able to qualify for professional engineer status from the degree from SAIT cause the bachelors program is not accreditated by the professional board of engineers, unlike those from U of C, U of A, U of R or any of the accreditated engineering bachelors program. However, the Diploma in Petroleum engineering at SAIT is an accreditated one by the Board of Engineers in Canada for petroleum engineering technologist, so u just have to take note of it once u decide to enter the program and graduate but mind u, it may not get u to be registered as a professional petroleum engineer in canada.nour140 said:my program is bachelor of applied petroleum engineer ,yes in Jan ,but i am not sure if they will give me the visa or not because i am electrical engineer but all my experience 7 years in oil and gas industry and i want to get degree in it ..do you think i should choice master degree in stead of bachelor of applied degree ??
