I applied online through the CIC account on June 6th and haven't heard back anything. This is my first time applying for the study permit and am getting anxious. I e-mailed the delhi high commission a couple times but they never replied. Is this delay normal? What should I do?

Re: ANYONE WHO APPLIED ONLINE IN JUNE AND GOT THEIR STUDY PERMIT

Hey guys! Just to let you know...this is the mail we are supposed to send inquiries to; delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca. i have sent them 6 e-mails till now and never got a reply back! It's been more than a month now. I am going to delhi tomorrow to see if I can withdraw my application and re-apply through VFS since that seems to be alot faster. :-X

this is the mail I got doc request from, put your name and application number in the subject line.
Hope they'll answer! But if you've planned to go to delhi, that's the best thing to do! btw, where have you applied from?

Hey Kashif, thanks! yeah even i got the doc request from this e-mail but when I called to inquire about how to send them. They gave me that e-mail address. How did you send your documents? Just replied to the mail?

I sent my docs to the email I got the request from. Have also send them an inquiry about my application on Wednesday, but haven't got a reply so far. CHC stays closed on Saturdays & Sundays, so Insha Allah, I am hoping hear some good news on Monday!

For those who are planning to Visit CHC Delhi, Please make sure of the following points:

1) They don't work on Fridays - They only process VFS applications, so you cant meet an officer that day.

2) I visited last week for my friend's Visa, they won't tell you the status of your Visa. Guard will not allow you to submit request form itself, so make sure you have some other reason to talk to them and then along with that when you are called at Window you can ask for the processing time and Visa status.

3) They won't give you any information related to your Friend's Visa, you can't even submit the documents without proper authorization.

Your friends visa processing is also delayed?

You visited the CHC yet? What happened there? What did they tell you? Why was the delay?
