Hi to All,
My PR residence application in in process and it might take a long time. I am thinking of applying for admission.
Is there anyone who had PR in process and applied for student visa and was granted?

If any please let me know. I am just afraid i will be rejected. So if there are some cases that were granted student Visas when their PR application was still in process then i will try.

Thanks and waiting.

Hi Umair81,
Thanks for your reply. Ok i will also try to see what to do. But i am sure you have very strong ties in your country of origin, because that is what i hear they always reuse many student visas because of ties in country of origin.

Well i have to tr y also.

Thanks

Hi Shaihid,
Thanks for your quick reply. Did you do both applications in London Visa office? Did you also declare in your student visa application that you have applied for PR?

I will be applying for the student permit in London Visa office , but my PR is in another Visa office.

Thanks.

ok here is my SOP.. u can take guidance from it

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Why Masters in Inter-networking (MINT):
I have been working as Computer manager in public sector for X years. Our organization has many upcomming projects related to networks, so to be better prepared I intend to master the current networking concepts in the rich and flexible environment of one of the top universities in Canada. This demands intensive study, a strong technical education with relevant courses, superior infrastructural support, and abundant industry interaction and hands on in-depth research. It requires a specialized professional graduate degree. Professionals with these qualifications are nearly impossible to find in Pakistan.Upon my return to Pakistan with these qualifications i will be an asset to my organization. This Program is closely related to my job and my previous studies.

MINT is a program that covers a range of topics related to the industry, including current technology, its past and future evolution. This intensive, degree program provides students with practical experience and the solid theoretical background necessary to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of technology and the challenges that lie ahead.

Why Canada:
I had two choices and theses were Canada and Sweden. After consultation with my Professors and superiors they convinced me that Canada is a better option as Canadians place great importance on learning, and have developed a first-rate education system with high standards. It is considered to be a relatively peaceful, safe and orderly country. Canada has traditionally been a country of immigrants and has a policy of encouraging multicultural diversity. In this vibrant setting, different perspectives are respected and learning together is encouraged. The tuition fees in Canada are very reasonable when compared to USA with equally good education system.

Why University of Alberta:
The U of A is one of Canada’s finest and largest research-intensive universities, offering education that provides the knowledge and skills needed for success. The U of A ranks fourth in annual sponsored research funding at Canadian universities. The U of A in its 100 year history has become one of the world’s top research universities and has a goal of being in the top 20 by 2020. The Masters in Inter-networking at U of A is "the only program that integrates the disciplines of computer science, electrical and computer engineering, and project management". Its unique strength is the combination of solid technical foundation with managerial concepts to the strategic use of information.

How do you deal with the conflict between a study visa and PR when you have to prove your ties to your home country to obtain a study visa? Thanks for your ideas.

Hi Umair81,
When you had the student visa and because of one or two problems you did not go, what happened to the fees you had paid before applying for the visa? Did they return your fees? Or you did not pay any fees prior to applying for the visa?

Waiting

Thanks you have been helpful.

Yes i mean the tuition fees. Ok thanks. I think you have to pay fees and submit receipt at the embassy. if it is not mandatory then good and fine.
