Anyone waiting for interview from CIC- London office here? Please share your experience. I am waiting for interview to schedule since past 7 months.

Nationality: Pakistani
Application received in Mississauga Office: 17-04-2009
Decision Made CIC-M: 12-05-2009
Application starts processing at CIC-London: 28-05-2009.
Email received for an interview: 10-07-2009 (Interview date still not been Schedule)
Status: In Process

hi Beans, same with me, i have been waiting for interview since july too.
lets hope we get called around March because this month is already gone.
I miss my spouse so much and it hurts.

we are in thesame boat, and 2 other applicants i chatted with too.
Have you been able to email them?

Finally I have received the date of my interview schedule for April. I have waited almost 8 months just to schedule interview date. I think London is the slowest office in the world and so far I have a bad experience with them.

Hi, I was just informed by London office by email (response to an email from me to them since it was approaching avg. processing time) that an interview is required. However, they haven't given me a time/date/location yet.

Did you find out through email or by mail the date of your interview? You said you were waiting 8 months just to schedule an interview date...which is ridiculously long. Hopefully this is not the average time-to-schedule for the London office?

I don't know about others but I've waited 8-9 months to schedule the interview. They have informed me by email not by post or mail. My file was was in the queue of interview since july 2009 and they have booked my interview for April 2010.

I shall be expecting my own email from them too because i have been waiting for 8 months too.

My husband got an e-mail from CIC London that an interview is required. That e-mail was received on March 10, 2010. Still no signs of an actual date. His interview is to be held in Stockholm since he's a resident of Sweden.
They are SO slow.

Universalmoe: what's your wife's nationality? does she live in the UK and you're in Canada?

Hey there

i am also from Pakistan and have sent my docs to the CIC office in London (40days ago ) after the nomination from Saskatchewan province. i gotta say that MAN the time for the processing is way to long what i see on this page after reading all the conversation. i was expecting to get the medical call or something very soon but after reading this blog i guess i should sit back and relax ? what do u guys say on this ? i did not get any confirmation for the docs i sent to the CIC office as yet ? please twll what to expect?

did u hear anything from cic london. ? i had my interview last month and got approved...now waiting for passport request for past 5 weeks..any clue how long more they will put me on wait ???

syedd - it's disappointing to see that the passport request takes so long. I thought after the interview things would move (relatively) quickly, but it looks like that's just wishful thinking.

i am also from pakistan and nominated under SINP. MY papers have been deleivered at the london office on 10th of may since then no response, no reply at all. i had also sent my bank draft and still dont know nuthing about my docs ? how long it would take in this case ? how long it took for u guys to have confirmation about the docs in london ?

Hope you have gotten your interview and visa by now. I am also in the same situation as the people in here. It's since Jan 25, 2010 (about 7 months) that I'm waiting for an interview. I sent my application to CIC-Mississauga in late July 2009. It seems that they only do this "waiting" to the Muslims.

Have a look at my timeline. I'm going through the London office for my husband too.

We finally have an interview date 6 months after they started processing. However, the good news is that from what I've seen...people that wait so long for an interview are usually done quite rapidly after the interview itself. I think they finish background checks and all necessary things before they call you in for the interview.

Also, it's not about if you're Muslim or not. It's about where you are from, your background, and what countries you have lived/traveled to. Though my husband is a Muslim, I know others who had a long timeline with London that are non-Muslims and this was primarily due to the places they've lived/traveled to.

What nationality are you? Can you share the details of your timeline with London please?
