Travelling to Canada from Dubai on 28th November by Emirates
Let us know how it goes with Emirates as you board. Hoping they're up to speed with who's eligible to travel to Canada (DLI on approved list, etc...).

I am in the same situation. I have friends in Alberta who can offer me a free place for quarantine but my school is in Toronto. I am not sure if it would be a problem if I enter the country from Alberta
Hi there, we've decided not to go to any other province. Given the fact that there is scepticism about students entering and DLIs being approved by specific provinces, we thought that it's not worth the risk. Hope everything goes smoothly!

I called and sent and email to CBSA but could not get any clear response. So no one knows!
Actually there is no specific rule on when you can arrive in Canada after you get your Letter of Introduction, but if it’s a long time before your studies start, you will have to explain to the officer who greets you at the border why you needed to arrive so early.

And make sure you have all the required documents, not willing to work before class starts and extra funds for early arrival.

Just for clarification, what if your course already began September 2020 and you are returning next week and your course is already all online? but I have letter of introduction and study visa and my school is on the DLI?

School is for January 2021 but I have received my permit as yet. I applied in September
