Wanting to connect with anyone (from EP of KSA) planning to ship their personal effects / goods to Toronto soon?
Airfreight is so expensive so planning on a 20 ft container via seafreight.
Anyone wanting to consolidate shipments to save some funds , please do contact.

Is it possible to send goods before landing in canada. Does one have to pay duty if the goods reach before we land?

Hi,

If your goods arrive before you land in Canada, you would pay the full duties as well as HST on them.
Furthermore, as you are not there to clear then goods, it may not be be possible to clear unless you have sent the goods on someone elses name.
Also the benefit of duty free and HST free import of personal effects is lost as you can only hand over the "Goods to Follow" list (form B4, I think) and get it stamped by Canada Customs when you land for the first time.
Were you planning to ship your goods before you land? Why, if I may ask.
