Anyone received SP or WP extension without biometrics?

HI,
did anyone receive the extension approved without doing the biometrics. I have the correspondence letter with me but unable to do the actual procedure. Waiting for the biometrics to be done to get my SP extended so that I could apply for WP is making everyone's situation difficult. Any thoughts or anyone got their SP extension /WP approved without doing the actual procedure.

It's insane and we are just waiting..no one seems to realize how bad the situation for people in the implied status.

We are on the same boat and I got a job offer but because of my work permit it is on Hold. We are helpless and don't whom to ask.
