professional1,

Thank you very much for your reply. My status has been in the in process state since July 31, 2009. I havent heard from London CHC after the AOR received from them. No request for additional documents nor any correspondence received from them since the AOR. Do you think to date, I have already passed the 67 points assessment stage? When will be the background checking starts? Last November 4, I sent them an enquiry fearing that there might be some correspondence that they have sent to me that was lost, but they replied that no correspondence was so far sent since AOR. Even if it will only be a speculation, your view on my case will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Actually i cannot answer your inquiry because as you know, the immigration officer who is processing your application is the only one who knows. we cannot say that reaching the stage "in process" is an indicator to show whether someone passed the 67 points or not because "in process" it self means that they are checking your points along with other things.

However, if you are sure about the completeness of your documents as they require exactly, no need to worry about anything, it will be just a matter of time.

Hope the best of luck for you, and i am sure that you will be hearing good news about your case.

Good luck.

Thanks prof...

Good Luck to you too...

Hi All,
my application has been "IN PROCESS" since November 9 2009 in Ankara, Turkey.
As far as I understand, in process means that they have ONLY assessed my application against the Ministerial 38 occupations and that it's elligible. So it doesn't mean that I've passed the 67 points passmark yet? Am I right?
In other words, an applicant can only be sure to have passed the 67 points if he/she receives the medical request?!
I can only hope that this is going to be over soon and that I & my wife can relax.
We are afraid to prolong the process because of some missing supporting documents or any other reason.
I wish everybody good luck and the best.

Dear CALOY,
I didn't get a letter with a file number. I'm stil using the FILE NUMBER given by the CIO Nova Scotia in the AOR from the initial assessment. I submitted my supporting docs on the 26th of october to the embassy. On 2nd Nov. my ECAS changed to DOCS RECEIVED, and on the 9th of november my ECAS status has been IN PROCESS. I know, this souds different from the applications here like from india and such.
However, I haven't received an AOR from the Embassy, I think that the system might change from country to country.
Have a nice day.
Good luck

Ankara,

That was very fast, your application with the supporting documents reached the local visa office on Oct 26, and your status was changed to Received by the visa office on Nov 2 ( which takes Buffalo visa office in the USA up to one month just to show Received by the visa office).

Your e-case changed on Nov 9 to "in process" one week after application Received (which takes upto one year in Buffalo to show" in process" after application received).

What does it show when you click on the link "in process" ?

I think your application process will be very fast.

Dear Professional1,
the timelines I stated in my previous post are all true. And since I've done some reading in immigration forums like this, I don't know if I should be happy or concerned about this. I hope that the fast processing doesn't have any negative implications or anything?!
When I click on 'IN PROCESS' it says that "we reviewed your application and have processing your application on November 2". I'm applying under NOC 4131..and my wife has an occupation which is under NOC 4131 too. Our total points are 67, but we are both about to graduate from master's degree programs, and we have work experience in reputable schools.
So let's hope the best. I hope that fast processing is a positive indication of a case.
Everybody have a nice day.

Caloy,Ankara_cafe ,

Did you receive your medical,pp request? How long it takes time after 2nd AOR?

my status went to in process on 9 dec and I got medicals on 14dec
finished medicals on 26 dec
finally sending passports on 30 dec
best of luck to all o u all

We received your application for permanent residence on May 25, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on June 29, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the New Delhi office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the New Delhi office on July 7, 2009. The New Delhi office may contact you.

not sure what it means
They received full documentation on 26/10/09
What is your status ecas is it "Received by Visa office" or is it "In process"
Got my answer its I think Rec by Visa Office

Professional 1: Are you sure Status In Process doesn;t mean that we have passed the 67 mark ?

No, not yet. It just means that your application is eligible to be processed and processing has begun to assess your application against the 6 selection criteria;(work experince, education,......etc) to check whether you reach the pass mark 67. It means as well that no refund will be available if the application get refused.
Hi,

Can you clarify this doubt of mine that the ecas status states "Based on review of your complete application package, it has
been determined that your application is eligible for processing.
Processing has begun."

Now the local visa office reviews the complete application package and based on its review which is explained on the ecas status page, application is eligible for processing. Doesn't it mean that the applicant has or is 67 pts or more subject to background checks and other checks but as per documentation provided, he is eligible. Kindly clarify

Gents

Hi rocky272727,

No the e-case status "in process" by itself does not mean that the applicant has reached the 67 points because they do not even check for the points at the stage before which is called (the final determination of eligibility).

At the local visa office, they only make the final eligibility review at the first stage, after they find that the application is eligible according to the ministrial instructions (the applicant falls under any one of the three categories 1, 2, or 3).

It means that the application is eligible to be placed into processing and the processing has begun. They change the e-case status to "in process," but it neither means at that moment that the application meets the 6 selection criterias nor the pass mark yet .

Simply if the immigration officer has granted you the points, it means that he already verified and checked your documents, they do not give the points before they verify the documents.

The e-case "in process" means exactly that they are assessing the application against the 6 selection criterias(work experience, education......etc) to define whether the applicant reaches the pass mark or not based on a verification of his documents.

Do not worry man, i am sure that you will make it eventually because god always watches good people who help others and you are one of them.

Good luck.

Hi vncviewer,

In my e-cas it says started processing on Oct 24...I received an email asking for my ielts and last 6 mos bank statement. Because I sent only the total bank balance and written explanation of my english proficiency.....Hopefully once the IO satisfied with my docs, they will send medical request....
