Anyone knows why the amount of ITAs is going down?

I found that the draws in 2015 invited around 1500 applicants, but this year it dropped down to 770ish. Anyone knows what happened, and will they invite 1500 applicants in the near future?

It dropped because Canada accepted a large number of Syrian refugees at the beginning of the year. It should go up again once those refugees have been accounted for.

No, it's the other way around. The score is going up because they're issuing fewer ITAs.

I remember Liberal will execute the same refugee plan in the coming years. If they do not increase the total immigrants quota, I think the economic immigrants will keep low like this year. Bad news.
