Anyone heard from Buffalo???

Did anyone hear from Buffalo? I applied April 2009 to Sidney, submitted my complete application to Buffalo on June 2009...ecas still received by Visa office....

Full application sent to Buffalo on May 2009 and the file was transfered to NY office 3 days ago:

Send the documents to Buffelo on October 1, 09 and and got the AOR September 21 09 heard nothing yet...............hope they will move little faster than their usual pace....

I have also sent all documents to Buffalo in July 2009. But haven't heard back any thing. Any Body in similar situation. Also does any body have some good news about getting response from Buffalo except it shows "Received by Visa Office". Did Buffalo sent different File # to what SYDNEY sent.

Do you mean that you sent your full documents to Buffalo on july 2009 and have not received a new file number from them with AOR letter ? if yes, you need to contact them to get that letter with the new file number, however, as long as you can see your e-case shows Received by the visa office, you are fine because it means that they received your documents and created a file for you in their system.

The average of receiving an AOR with new file number from Buffalo is 3 weeks to 1 month. 6 months are too long for an AOR.

Use the following link :

Write a letter for them explaining that you have not received your AOR with the new file number since July 2009.

Do not forget to write your information in the letter :

Full name

Date of birth

Place of birth

Nationality

CIO file number

The type of your application for example (FSW 1)

It is very important to get your new ile number.

If you can attach the CIO approval letter, it would be better.

July 2009. I am not sure when they will flip my status. Also i have not sent my IELTS score rather written a letter that I am well proficient
in English. But I have not received any further communication since July 2009. I asked another question about how much time it will
take more to go to next level but they have only answered that my application is on right schedule and need not to communicate again.
So I am not sure if its their standard answer or is it really the case. Any gentleman can suggest, please do post.

You have not heard anything back from them because likely they have not started processing your application yet. Usually Buffalo takes upto 12 months (52 weeks) to start processing an application from the date of receipt at their visa office. (some cases take longer and others take less than 12 months)

They should have sent you a letter stating the fact about the 52 weeks processing time as they usually do with any applicant who inquire about his case, but maybe because you asked about 2 different things, they answered only one enquiry. You will know whether they have accepted your english proficiency explanation letter or not when they start processing your application.

If you would like to have a clue about the processing of your application, order the CAIPS notes to see whether there are any useful notes written in your file or not yet.
