I noticed that one the Chinese PCC (Mainland) I got, it doesnt say my passport number, instead, my Chinese ID card number is on it.

How does IRCC know thats me? (Although it has my Name, DOB on it)

Or I need to input my Chinese ID card number on my EE profile too? (But that's not a travel document, just a domestic ID like BCID)

Anyone knows what should I do about this?

also, just noticed that my Chinese ID is expiring this Aug...would it affect my application???? :'(

anyone?

And I just noticed that on the IMM008 and Schedule A forms they both ask you if you have any National Identity Document. Is that where I should say yes and put down my Chinese ID Card? But again, my Chinese ID card is expiring this end of August. Would this be an issue?

Please advise!

say yes for your NID, and upload your Chinese ID card info into EE system with English translation. I applied for Notary certificate for my ID as well.

Hi Benzylamine! Thanks for your advice!

My Chinese ID card is expiring this August, so if I get an ITA and apply before August, would it be ok? I really dont want to go back to China just to renew my Chinese ID card. But I heard that now they have a second generation Chinese ID card which needs you to apply in person to provide finger print...

Get your Chinese ID notary certificate before it expires to, and submit it to CIC with your PCC, which I think would be fine.

You can ask Notary officer/police officer add your passport No. alone with ID. No. in pc, then you just need submit your pp, not need NID.

I did like that on Jan. 2016.

I also had a Chinese PCC, what I did was to get my national ID translated to English and then notarized.

The thing is when I got the Chinese PCC, its already been notarized. So I dont need to go to a notary to do that. Maybe I can ask the officer to include my passport number in my PCC?

If you alread got the pcc without your pp no in it , you d better translate and notarize your ID, and submitted with your eAP

If you are in China and easy to get a new pcc, you can ask officer add passport no in it

I am prolly gonna get a new Chinese PCC, so I will ask the officer to put my passport number on (if they will ever do that)
