anyone got visa whose file start in 1st week of nov 2009 in new delhi

they donot even pich up the phone or anything they are so

Hi guys did anyone in India receive a letter from CHC New Delhi giving u a file number and acknowledging that they have started working on your file? This file number should start with a letter and be followed by some numbers.

hello everyone,

i sent my husband's application to cpc - m on 18th nov 09 and they received it the next day. after that i received a letter on 20th dec saying that it has been approed and now the file has been sent to delhi. then on 11th jan we received a letter asking for my husband's passport and a few other docs. we mailed it the same day and they received it on 13th jan. after that we havent heard from the embassy at all.

one thing which is unusual in our case is that the new delhi office started processing our file on 5th jan and the letter requesting his passport had a date of 6th jan which mean they immed asked for his passport as soon as they started working on the file. so not sure wats going on

the wait seems sooooooooo long.

As you mentioned CHC ND requested docs along with your passport, what sort of docs were requested? I ahve seen few poeple receiving PPR right after the processing started & I am one of them. They started processing my file on Jan 12 2010 in ND & I received a letter dated Jan 13 2010 requesting my passport only, no other docs were requested accept asking me to submit PR fee & PCC if not already submitted. My application sent to CPC along with all fees paid, medical & PCC on Dec 02 2009 & it was approved on Dec 29 2009.

by other docs i meant landin g fee and police cert if not already submitted. but since we had attached these 2 with the application itself so this time we only sent the passport.

yours and our dates are quite close. so wat do u think, how long can it take

I was able to check the status it took me long time. ECAS still shows my application in process.

I just checked our status online and it says "decision made". I am very relived to see it but not sure what would be the next step. any idea how long it can take for us to receive the passport back. and does it mean they have decided to give us the visa??

It takes about 4-6 weeks to get the PP back from CHC.

How are you? Good to hear that you have a change in the file to decision made. But I want to correct DD1for2. But I also hope i am not wrong. As far as I have seen, it should take 5 to 10 days for ur pp to arrive in Mail. Now it might also depend on where in India the applicant is. But i am observing this info from previous threads.
