3 months is a long tym...where did u submit and where is it processing? Also wch category?

I submitted to the Los Angeles office. I'm going to Centennial College this May 2018. It's taking very long and I'm worried because class registration is about to start on April 18 and they won't let me register without the study permit.

3-15 days i guess normal time procedure

Thank you! I hope it comes out really soon. I don't want to defer my intake just because of delays in processing. That is the reason why I submitted early in the first place.

I finally got an approval for my study permit just now! I'm glad it didn't take a long time after passing the medical exam. Now I don't have to worry about registration.

I applied on December 29, 2017 in Los Angeles. I submitted my application via mail (offline).

May I know the reason why you weren’t required to do a medical examination?

You only need a medical if you live in the "Designated Countries"

Suppose an American who usually doesn't need a medical , but stayed in India for more than 6 months consecutively , then , they need a medical .

My case , I never lived more than 6 months in any designated country .

My passport expires on Feb 2020 so I read somewhere that visa office will not grant visa more thn the time of expiry date of your passport???
It's not possible to renew my passport from Canada??
