Hi. Anyone has faced this situation?

On my study permit it says "Unless authorized, prohibited from engaging in employment in Canada", even though you are qualified? ( mine is full time masters program, longer than 6 months)

what should I do? And will I need the study permit during the time I mail it back to cic to be amended?

Thanks guys.

I think you can have it amended by mail: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/amend.asp

You got a wrong study permit. You must send the amended to ottowa with application, ur acceptance letter, ur study permit, passport and other relevent document.

Just have some vacation until you get a new study permit. Because you cant work without social insurance number.

Yes I got partial entrance scholarship from the university. But I think the reason was that I came here 2 months earlier and I wasn't registered in classes during the time I arrived.
